Self-taught (traditional / digital) artist.
My art
Most important theme
I have always been interested in technology and machines. They are predictable, efficient and pure. On the other hand, I have always had an interest in people and nature, because they are unpredictable, ever-changing and messy. People and technology, man and machine, are very different and incompatible to a high degree. This interaction between man and machine is what interests me the most. It is the basis for most of my art, ranging from what happens to identity in digital domains to how technology will merge with flesh to enable new kinds of existence.
Digital and traditional art
While more comfortable in the digital realm (under the alias ‘alienorb’), I also enjoy traditional mediums such as oil painting.
